Brewery: Black Creek Historic Brewery
Appearance / Aroma: The aroma boasts a dark roasted malt with notes of dark cherry and chocolate. It’s a dark, black beer with only the smallest hint of light showing through. The head is thick and creamy.
Taste / Feel: Slight tanginess in the taste that’s quickly overrun with dark, toasty flavors. Rich chocolate beneath a soft, smoky veil. The exhale delivers that delicious roasted grain again in full force.
It’s got low-moderate carbonation with no bitterness.
Overall, excellent beer although I would lean more towards their Porter.
