Lot 9

Brewery: Creemore Springs Brewing (Ontario)

Type: Pislner (Czech Inspired)

ABV: 4.7%

IBU: 25

Appearance / Aroma: Cream colored, dense and delectable looking head- quickly disappearing but that’s ok.  A lovely murky medium mustard looking colour to the beer.  It looks like a wheat beer often does.  In fact it smells like a wheat beer as well.  The saison-ish aroma is present here- although it quite clearly states it is a Pilsner.

Taste / Feel:  It’s named after lot 9- the Creemore wheat field which was hard fought farming land (bad soul I suppose).  I can sense that European Pilsner crispness and refreshing mouthfeel but love that they exaggerated the wheat flavour.  I think it’s a compelling beer: crisp, exciting, refreshing, balanced, and thoughtful.  I also think that I will enjoy over and over again for what I think will be a long time.
