Scottish Ale

Brewery: Highlander Brew Co.

Type: Ale (Scottish)

ABV: 5.4%

IBU: 34

Appearance / Aroma: Beer pours nicely and yields a creamy, slightly off-white head that smells like sweet, tangy raisins and fresh citrus. I can also smell a creamy, subtle malt in the background. The body is a gorgeous amber-copper color.

Taste / Feel: The taste is a creamy roasted malt initially but turns into a sweet, subtle raisin towards the end. Appropriate carbonation and there’s barely any bitterness in the aftertaste.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoy this beer. It’s what I imagine when I read about mythical dwarves drinking ale in the tavern. I also love it because there’s only 4 ingredients.
