New Growth

Brewery: Driftwood Brewery (Victoria, BC)

Type: Canadian Pale Ale

ABV: 5.0%

Presentation: Poured a citrusy looking orange with a steady stream of carbonation rising up and a nice frothy white heat which laced the cup.  I like that.  Great show.

Thoughts: There is a strong hop liveliness that is entirely bitterless.  It’s a tad floral, quite bright.  I had a really hard time pinning this one down, and then all of a sudden it was gone… So uhhh that might say more than any technical comment could?!  It’s easy to drink and delicious.  I looked it up- after reading yours.  This one is from two types of hops and two types of malts:  Centennial and Newport Hops and Pilsner and Crystal Malts.

    I mean it’s no 5 hops/malts, but…
And, I suppose this brewery is pretty hit or miss, so far. Also another pale ale with a nice, orange/amber color.
