Wellington S.P.A

4

Brewery: Wellington Brewery

Type: Special Pale Ale

ABV: 4.5%

Thoughts: I was immediately drawn to, and pleasantly surprised, by the deep amber color. I was expecting more of a lighter golden-yellow, as is typical of pale ales.

In terms of taste and mouthfeel, this beer starts out clean and crisp but also has wonderful creaminess mid way through. There’s a fairly distinct taste of grainy, roasted malt throughout the entire mouthful however I’m also able to detect the subtle presence of hops as they attempt to cut through. There’s very little bitterness.

I believe that’s 2 for 2 for Wellington Brewery.

Wow. That was a good LCBO trip, three very good looking beers. (I think I might like this one the mostest- and secretly hope you bring this one to our first shared ‘favorite’ experience)

It’s going to be an overwhelming choice – only 3 beers. Who can decide between so many good ones?!?!

I would also like to bring to you attention that they now sell beer at my grocery store. So, almost every time I’m there I’ll pick up a can.
