Brewery: Yeungling Brewery

Type: Traditional Amber Lager

ABV: 4.4%

Taste: Light body and taste for an Amber Lager – although after reading up on it, it’s their flagship beer and is what you get when you order a ‘Lager’. This, to me, would suggest they’ve toned the ‘amber-ness’ of it down a little to appeal to more people who enjoy shoving a normal, fermented beverage down their throats.

There are slight amounts of fruit initially but towards the back of the tongue a I get a oak/malt flavors. It has low acidity and little to no hop bitterness.

Unfortunately it just isn’t interesting enough to keep me coming back. Overall not horrible, though.

Fact: Yeungling is officially America’s oldest brewery. NEAT.

Americas oldest brewery? I’ve never heard of it! How disappointing that it’s forgettable …
