Okanagan Spring

2.5

Brewery: Okanagan Spring

Location: British Columbia (Vernon)

Type: 1516 Bavarian Lager

ABV: 5.0%

Taste:  It’s quick, sharp, alcohol-y and earthy.  There’s too much of an alcohol flavour for me, I feel like their efforts to keep to the Bavarian purity law (barley, hops, yeast, water) didn’t result in enough of a flavour to mask/compete with the alcohol-ness of it.  There still is a fresh earthiness to it and I do rather like that bit.  No aftertaste which is nice, one tiny wave after a swallow and it’s gone.  It’s solid for a domestic beer, but not a premier world class beer.
